AGENDA ANNOUNCED FOR PBS WORKS USER GROUP MEETING
Event Features Four Days of Workshops and Presentations by Global Industry Leaders, with Keynote Address by Tokyo Institute of Technology
TROY, Mich., July 1, 2015 – Engineers, IT administrators, cluster managers, and users of high-performance computing (HPC) systems will have the opportunity to learn from and collaborate with the best minds in supercomputing at the 2015
PBS Works User Group Meeting, September 14-17 in Silicon Valley.
The four-day event includes two days of presentations and panel discussion bookended by two days of free hands-on training workshops:
- September 15 and 16: User Group Meeting (location: Computer History Museum in Mountain View, CA)
- September 14 and 17: Workshops on PBS Professional®, Computer Manager, Display Manager and PBS Analytics (location: Altair office in Sunnyvale, CA)
The PBS Works User Group Meeting is attended by executives, IT administrators, business managers, scientists and R&D professionals using PBS Works products. The agenda includes presentations by PBS Works users, Altair executives and technology leaders, as well as discussion forums with the entire PBS Works product management and engineering teams.
The current
speaker list features HPC thought leaders from around the globe, including:

More speakers will be finalized over the next month, and the final agenda will be published in late July.
The event will also feature two discussion panels with Altair PBS Works product managers and engineers. “These open forums are really valuable for both users and Altair,” according to Bill Nitzberg, PBS Works CTO. “Attendees can learn about our plans and give truly uncensored feedback directly to the engineering teams. It’s a great chance for the whole community to learn from each other.”
