Altair Honored with 11 Nominations in HPCwire Readers’ Choice Awards

Voting open through October 3, 2014. Altair has earned 11 nominations in the 2014 HPCwire Readers’ Choice Awards. Altair products were nominated in the following categories:
  • PBS Works for “Best HPC server product or technology”; “Best HPC storage product or technology”; and “Best HPC software product or technology”
  • HyperWorks Unlimited for “Best HPC cluster solution or technology”; “Top supercomputing achievement”; and “Top 5 new products or technologies to watch”
  • Display Manager for “Top supercomputing achievement” and “Top 5 new products or technologies to watch”

Altair was also nominated as a “Top Vendor to Watch.”

In addition, Altair implementations were nominated in the following categories:
  • Mubea was nominated in two categories: “Best use of HPC in Manufacturing” and “Best use of HPC in the Cloud.”
  • The National Supercomputing Center for Energy and the Environment (NSCEE) was nominated for its use of PBS Professional in “Best use of HPC in Life Sciences”
  • 3M, SGI and Intel were nominated in the category of “Best application of Green Computing in HPC” for developing a fully functional supercomputer using 3M's two-phase immersion cooling technology – this system uses PBS Professional for workload management
